Forma Connected Client (Tech Preview)
The first set of Forma workflows focuses on connected experiences between Revit and Forma tools. Access the same data across different applications, eliminating the need to duplicate work or import/export files.
Perform Forma sustainability analyses. Design in any environment by quickly switching between Forma Site Design and Revit. For the Forma Connected Client Tech Preview, capabilities and workflows are enabled for all Revit 2027 cloud models stored within a Forma project. Participation in the tech preview is enabled at the project level by the project manager. Autodesk Assistant (Tech Preview) You can now optimize your Revit experience with the Autodesk Assistant. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to increase your efficiency and streamline your workflow. Core Capabilities: Product Assistance: Learn about Revit features and workflows (“How do I transfer project standards?”). Model Queries: Extract information from your models ("How many columns are on the ground floor?"). Task Automation: Automate tasks in Revit via command prompts ("Create door schedule"). You receive real-time, context-driven tips that help you learn about new features, shortcuts, and strategies to work smarter. You can also chat with the assistant to ask questions, query the model, and automate frequently used tasks, allowing you to focus on what matters most. To access the Autodesk Assistant, sign in with your Autodesk account, then click the (Autodesk Assistant) option on the title bar. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server is a lightweight and standardized program that acts as a connector, allowing artificial intelligence models (LLMs) to securely access external data sources, APIs, and tools. In Revit, you use the MCP tools within the Autodesk Assistant. This feature helps you query and report on your model; for example, you can find elements, check parameters, and verify counts. You can also bulk-edit parameters and capture visual snapshots of views. Expanded Carbon Emissions Coverage When working with cloud models, the embodied carbon analysis coverage has been expanded to include additional Revit elements, including structural members. What you can do:
Include additional structural element data. Ensure the most up-to-date model data is used for analysis. This enhancement provides a more comprehensive sustainability assessment. The model can be either workshared or non-workshared. Collaborative Insight - Insight Dashboards, Metrics Ability to Share on Factors and Benchmarks Collaborative Insight enables teams to share Sustainability Analysis results associated with workshared cloud-based Revit models. Carbon Parameters on Materials Carbon parameters are supported as assets in Revit materials. Integrated Issue Management in Revit Integrated Issue Management in Revit provides a unified workflow for creating, viewing, and managing issues within Revit and across Forma Design Collaboration Detailed Changes in Coordination Models Compare the property values of changed coordination model elements between versions using the Change Details palette. Integrated Issue Management in Revit Integrated Issue Management in Revit provides a unified workflow for creating, viewing, and managing issues within Revit and across Forma Design Collaboration. Accelerated Graphics graduated from Tech Preview. The Accelerated Graphics feature has transitioned from the Technical Preview stage to a fully supported feature. Real-Time Section Box and View Extents in Accelerated Views Community suggestion: Section Box manipulation in Accelerated Views is now real-time and GPU-based. Halftone Settings in Accelerated Views Halftone overrides are now fully supported in Accelerated Views, maintaining visual consistency with standard Revit views. Transparency Overrides in Accelerated Views Accelerated Views now respect transparency overrides, improving design intent communication and coordination clarity. admin (14.06.2026 10:55 GMT) Drawing School Team |
